New Delhi: Ayodhya has turned into a vibrant spiritual hub as the excitement for the upcoming flag hoisting ceremony at the newly built Ram Temple has reached its highest point. Thousands of devotees, including saints and scholars, participated in a massive rally expressing their devotion. The atmosphere is filled with chants and traditional rituals, signalling the importance of the event. People believe the ceremony will mark a historic spiritual moment for the nation.

According to Mahant Govind Dev Giri, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be the chief guest at the ceremony, has decided to observe a fast on 25 November, coinciding with Vivah Panchami. He is expected to arrive at the temple early in the morning, participate in rituals and then perform the flag hoisting during the designated auspicious period. Religious figures say fasting before such a ceremony holds deep spiritual meaning and showcases utmost respect towards Lord Ram. It is also noted that the Prime Minister had observed fast during the consecration ceremony earlier. Many devotees view this as a message of humility and dedication from the nation’s highest leader.
Experts have confirmed that the timing for the flag hoisting ceremony has been set between 11:58 AM and 12:30 PM. Before that, final rituals of the ongoing five-day ceremony will be completed. The sacred flag will then be handed to Dr. Anil Mishra, the chief yajman of the event. Religious scholars mention that each day, the flag is being worshipped through traditional methods to maintain ritual purity. People from different regions have started arriving early to witness the rare occasion. Senior religious authorities expect the event to become a milestone in temple history. On Sunday morning, a large group of saints, religious teachers and prominent citizens gathered at Ramkatha Park before moving towards the temple premises. Led by Mayor and Mahant Girishpati Tripathi, the rally passed through prominent spots including Lata Chowk. Locals welcomed the participants with devotional chants and floral offerings along the way. After crossing Hanuman Garhi and moving into the temple zone, the rally concluded near the Chhireshwarnath Temple. During the five-day ritual process, priests chanted Vishnu Sahasranama and Atharva Vedic mantras, following complete Vedic traditions to honour divine energies. On the third day alone, several lakh offerings were made as part of the yagya. Senior temple official Champat Rai also attended the ceremony and participated in the worship. Religious scholars said such rituals enhance positivity and create divine alignment. The rituals are believed to energize the temple space in preparation for the main event. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is expected to visit Ayodhya for two days ahead of the ceremony, and he will review preparations before the event begins. A separate meeting has been called on Monday afternoon inside the Ram Temple complex to discuss arrangements with key stakeholders. Prior to this review, he will attend a programme at Brahmakund Gurudwara marking the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Bhagwat may address the participants and possibly discuss spiritual and social aspects. Later in the day, he is scheduled to meet saints and prominent citizens. He will also interact with RSS officials during his visit.
The ceremony is seen as a deeply spiritual and nationally significant milestone. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the ritual and observing fast, the event has gained high emotional value.
